St Anne's - Crystal River

St Anne's graciously hosted our Spring meeting on April 3rd. Some of the attendees were thrilled at the "high" church environment and several of us were made of aware of Episcopal nuns, who served our lunch and morning snacks.

Churches set up display boards of their activities and displayed various craft items, along with directions and patterns.

The program was presented by The Rev Skip Brady and his grandson who had visited Honduras and the churches. They have moving comments and photos of churches in homes and the efforts by locals to attend church. The Eucharist was given by Fr Kevin Holsapple.

We shared various news and events at our churches.

It was announced that St George would host the 2009 Spring meeting in The Villages. (director's note: St George will be under construction at that time and will be seeking another church to volunteer. St George WILL do it in 2010. Please contact sara@stgeorge-episcopal.net or 352.408.6291 if you are interested in discussing hosting 2009.)

Around 65 women attended, and as always, it is so nice to share in faith and fellowship with our sisters.

We could not conclude without thanking St Anne's and all the women who traveled to be together that day.
