Northeast Deanery Meeting

New Smyrna Beach, Florida

Saturday was a beautiful spring day when we held our meeting.  During the Registration and coffee we meant friends and make new friends.

Fr. Blake celebrated our Eucharist Service and bless up with music and song. His homily was very inspiring as he encouraged us to continue the work of the ECW in our churches.  

After the Eucharist we fellowship in the Parish Hall. We were divided into groups and we had discussions on,  "How do you have the women become more active in your church?" or " How viable are the women of your church?"

No election of Deanery Director was held as the Deanery Director is a two year term.  I, Adelaide Carter will continue to serve.  St. Jude's, Orange City  and St. Mary's Daytona Beach will consider hosting next year's Deanery Meeting.

The Annual Diocesan  ECW will be held at St. Luke Cathedral in Orlando on November 1, 2008.

Thanks were given to St. Paul's ECW members for hosting the wonderful Northeast Deanery Meeting.

Closing thoughts were given.
